Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: wishlist Hi folks!
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "git-restore-mtime". * Package name : git-restore-mtime Version : 1.0.0-1 Upstream Author : Rodrigo Silva (MestreLion) <li...@rodrigosilva.com> * URL : https://github.com/MestreLion/git-tools * License : GPL3+ Section : vcs It builds those binary packages: git-restore-mtime - set timestamps to the date of a file's last commit The m.d.n page: http://mentors.debian.net/package/git-restore-mtime Dgettable .dsc: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/git-restore-mtime/git-restore-mtime_1.0.0-1.dsc It's a tool that, when ran in a git repository, sets each file's mtime to the date of most recent commit that changed that file -- ie, an approximation of what mtimes are supposed to do. This is nice when making a release tarball, or if you're using git for storing something else than a program's sources. Actually, the upstream project name is "git-tools" as there's a bunch more utilities included. I dropped three that were obsolete or redundant, and bundled three others, yet the package name I used reflects only what I consider to be the main meat. My reason is, the name "git-tools" is too generic, and git-restore-mtime is what users would be looking for. If you disagree with my judgement, please say so!
