Guido,

In the past there was another package for communication and the
internal communication with client and server software was via pipe
files. The location was defined in the configuration file. I tested
with the echo command to the pipe file and a separate display start.

Later on the communication was integrated in the client and server
software and the definitions were fixed. I am not sure if the pipe files
give a conflict at this moment. In the configuration file you can
define server and clients and I never tested this with the same name.
Maybe there are other conflicts like logging rotation (both in server
and client). I will test this in the next release. The filenames of the
logging can be different.

At the moment I struggle with the fact that I have one logrotation file
for 2 packages. With a quilt patch I can put it in the debian directory
as package.logrotation, but maybe there is a better way for this. The
same problem for a cron program.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Regards Willem

PS
At the moment there are 2 sites running this client/server software
and monthly there are about 300 vm starts. One site has 6 clients the
other 4. Maintenance of the vm's is very simple (like a normal pc).
