A postrm check if the > >> > directory exist and delete it? > You can use dh_clean (file debian/clean). $ man dh_clean. dh_clean is used (for what I understand) in building the package, which BTW I will use it for properly clean up some mess left around :) BUT what I was looking for is a proper way, if exist, to handle the removal of a empty configuration directory after the update of the current testing version. I can handle it via normal bash script in post-inst.
