That's fine.

Since bug reporters don't get subscribed to their reported bugs by
default, please don't forget to ping the submitter of the bug reports
you intend to close in addition to the bug itself (otherwise those bug
reporters will not receive your request for more info/testing).
######-submit...@bugs.debian.org (where "######" is the bug number in
the BTS) is a handy alias for this.
