Some remarks, not a complete review: -> you should change the bug-title of 677709 to ITA and set yourself as owner -> d/copyright: I think you need also to include a shorttext on the Apache-2.0 license, not only the link to /usr/share/common-licenses/ The manpage gsi.1 is "Released under the same license as Gambit-C.", not GPL-2+. -> d/control I'm not a native English speaker, but it is really "Scheme interpreter|compiler" with a captial "S"? -> d/watch Maybe you want to contact upstream if they are willing to sign the code tarballs? (not a blocking point, its nice-to-have on an subsequent upload ;-)) -> d/libgambc4.install I think you can remove the shebang in this file.
