I did start fresh with the new tarball. I can see both before and after extraction there is a machineGenerated folder in the test folder. [...]/gtkiostream-1.3.0/test/machineGenerated As for the version of slice2cpp, it will be the latest version available in sid which is 3.5.0 according to packages.d.o My workflow for building the package is as follows: 1. First build a source only package (debuild -S) 2. Then build the binary using pbuilder which is loading a sid chroot to ensure it builds in a clean environment.
