Hi, I had always been hoping to maintain some useful debian packages. Now that I've successfully revived some abandoned debian packages, my confident is gaining and want to pick up more.
I took a look at the orphaned package list, to my biggest surprise, there are a *lot* of packages that I think useful are now orphaned [1]. Is it OK for me to take over the ownership for all of them? What should I do? Thanks [1] the list of orphaned package that I find useful: abcmidi: converter from ABC to MIDI format and back (package info), orphaned since 1385 days. aqualung: Gapless Gtk-based audio player (package info), orphaned since 370 days. cdrdao: records CDs in Disk-At-Once (DAO) mode (package info), orphaned since 143 days. mpage: print multiple pages per sheet on (package info), orphaned since 1804 days. par2cmdline: Parity Archive Volume Set, for checking and repair of files (package info), orphaned since 375 days. pmidi: A command line midi player for ALSA (package info), orphaned since 1471 days. snd: Sound file editor (package info), orphaned since 375 days. zh-autoconvert: Headers and static libraries for zh-autoconvert (package info), orphaned since 724 days. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
