Actually, the packages (cinnamon and muffin) are perfectly fit for unstable. It was just a misinterpretation from my side. You are perfectly right: since cinnamon is a new package, uploading it to unstable cannot disrupt anything. I have updated the packages on mentors to reflect this. Now, let us hope that a kind DD will sponsor the upload :-) The package is normally in good shape, the upstream is quite responsive, so this package should not represent too much for the sponsor.
