Steven, First a question. How does this relate to the 'mysql_tzinfo_to_sql' tool that comes with mysql-5.5 (and presumably MySQL cluster as well)?
Secondly this would be quite a small package. We have never had a definitive answer from the FTP masters, on when they reject packages for smallness - as they leave it vague. But they do explicitly retain the right to do so and have done so in the past. Thirdly Clint already identified the need to factor out common code between MySQL, MariaDB, Percona and presumably MySQL cluster. I can think of the following at least as possible commonalities: * DFSG tools * license/copyright checking (#597861) * common fragments of debian/rules * init and maintenance scripts (although for MariaDB and Percona I am only expecting to package server-core). * Perhaps apparmor, systemd and upstart stuff as well (not that the systemd stuff would be used in ubuntu). You'd be welcome to change this bug into an ITP for such a package. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
