It is common practice to reflect version number changes only for uploads targetting for Debian directly (in fact, this is a requirement there, its not possible to overwrite packages). For mentors.d.n you can pretty much do what you want, including overwriting the same package again. Please note, an upload to mentors.d.n does /not/ mean, your package has been uploaded to Debian's official repositories.
