Err, of course you're right. I just had the logic inverted and of course if the symbols don't match the ABI is broken - not the opposite. Yet my comment still stands that just putting a new SONAME disregarding of ABI changes is not neccessarily a good thing IMHO. -- Best regards, Kilian
