Ah, yes. I agree this is a bug, different than the bug we just fixed in gitpkg. I'm not sure at the moment where this should be fixed. It is not possible for lintian to detect that your git-patches file is trivial, i.e. that it will not result in the export of any patches. On the other hand, it seems like something we should try to support, even if we didn't think about it before.
