The upload would fix these bugs: 610654 My motivation for maintaining this package is that I'm a heavy user of it myself and that it would be great to have a simple-to-use interface to Gearman from Python in Debian. There's also the python-gearman.libgearman package, but this package is a lot easier to use and it has better documentation.
