Hello, I am working on geda-gaf package [1]. It is almost ready except for a single issue: to upgrade the several geda-* packages, they can only upgrade using apt-get dist-upgrade, ie. an apt-get upgrade won't upgrade them, the reason is that the new release of geda-* packages depend on a libgeda38, while the old release of geda-* packages depend on libgeda33. So I've put a Replaces: libgeda33 in libgeda38, yet that still does not make it work. Is there a solution for this ? Or is that acceptable, and I should just leave it as is ?
I've attached the debian/control file with this email. [1] Previously geda* packages were distributed in several tarballs until 1.4.x releases, then in release 1.5, upstream decided to distributed geda in a single tarball called geda-gaf. -- أحمد المحمودي (Ahmed El-Mahmoudy) Digital design engineer GPG KeyID: 0xEDDDA1B7 (@ subkeys.pgp.net) GPG Fingerprint: 8206 A196 2084 7E6D 0DF8 B176 BC19 6A94 EDDD A1B7
