Because NMU is not a long-term solution for unmaintained packages? http://www.gdesklets.de/ has no update since almost one year, the maintainer of the gdesklets package looks MIA, so it may be much better to find somebody who whants to take over the package, and if not to file a request for removal. Otherwise, at whichever next transition, the package will collect new RC bugs, draw some valuable time that could be spent preparing a NMU or a QA upload on packages that are more important, and again and again until it is finally removed. So to summarise, the ‘N’ in ‘NMU’ is for non-maintainer upload, not for no-maintainer upload ;) Have a nice sunday, -- Charles Plessy Debian Med packaging team, http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-med Tsurumi, Kanagawa, Japan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
