According to the libpkg-guide[1] you are absolutely right. I've fixed this. > You patched the iulib to ‘libtoolize’ it in order to enable dynamic linking to > it. I have added description and origin tags to the patches. > Upstream sees to have switched the extension name of their tar archives from > .tar.gz to .tgz, breaking your watch file. I've fixed the watchfile to catch both. Unfortunately, v0.4 doesn't seem to play well with autotools, and the advice from upstream was to rewrite the packaging to use scons. v0.4 was released after I put my first RFS for iulib on mentors, and I'd like to see it uploaded before throwing the packaging away to start on v0.4. > This said, you would probably have increased your chances by giving more > context, in particular by explaining that you would like to package this > library because it is needed to update ocropus, a package for optical > character > recognition that you maintain since since March, and that started to use this > library. This is much more motivating than ‘The upload would fix these bugs: > 508143’. Thanks for the advice, I'll do so in future RFS mails. I've uploaded the updated package to mentors.
