Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 1:5.6~cvs20081118-1 of my package "nedit" which I am adopting. Because upstream is slowly working to a maintenance release, I decided to prepare an experimental package using a cvs checkout of the beta of 5.6. I would appreciate it when somebody takes the time to check out my packaging efforts (this is my second debian package). I left out the create-orig rule in rules because I want to package for unstable when the release is really released. Please let me know when I need to include it to get it sponsored for experimental. Also let me know if I chose the wrong name for this version.
It builds these binary packages: nedit - powerful, customizable, Motif based text editor The package appears to be lintian clean. The upload would fix these bugs: 499316 The package can be found on mentors.debian.net: - URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/nedit - Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main contrib non-free - dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/nedit/nedit_5.6~cvs20081118-1.dsc Changelog: nedit (1:5.6~cvs20081118-1) experimental; urgency=low * CVS checkout of 5.6 branch to experiment with upcoming release * New maintainer (Closes: 499316) * Adjusted short description (removed "A" at beginning) * Added patch system (dpatch) * Added debian/README.source * Checked original diff.gz changes (all implemented upstream or solved below) * Clean up of symlinks in Makefile clean rule (patch 01_CleanupLinks) * Added -DBUILD_BROKEN_NEDIT and -DBUILD_UNTESTED_NEDIT to CFLAGS in debian/rules and changed Makefile.linux to use it because LessTif2 version in Debian is considered bugged by upstream (patch 20_ChangeFlagsLinuxMakefile) * Updated debian/rules to use dh_install * Removed doc/README.FAQ (not relevant) * Build man pages from pod source to change name of NC in Nedit-NC (patch 50_ChangeNCinMan) * Created debian/nedit.desktop file and install it -- Paul Gevers <p...@climbing.nl> Mon, 02 Feb 2009 14:50:37 +0100 I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.
