This is much easier:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib/gcc-snapshot/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"
export PATH="/usr/lib/gcc-snapshot/bin:$PATH"
EXTRAPACKAGES="gcc-snapshot ${EXTRAPACKAGES}"
