Mh,strange but I'm too lazy to check, so I'm going to give a brief explanation and examples from package I mine (I think that starting from : multi-bin; there's nothing magic here, just add another binary stanza in debian/control file (just like the one for single bin), then install things in debian/pkg1 and debian/pkg2 then debhelper will do the magic for you; for example, give a look to matplotlib for a multi-bin package. library: that's not an easy task, and there is even an ad-hoc doc about it, libpkg-guide (now available even as a package in unstable, updates and patches to that doc are welcome :) ); you can give a look to liblqr for an example. kernel module: don't have experience, but the rule to take a "simple" (not easy to define it) source package from unstable and give it a look.
