Sure, make gives you plenty of rope to hang yourself, to abuse the users of your program, or to come up with something absolutely adorable. I didn't mention this special case deliberately, as it is very rare for these variables (for a good reason). Also, I haven't seen a Debian package that does this: build-stamp: $(MAKE) -e -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
