Thats not what have been said. I referred to a thread on debian-mentors about CDBS where advantages and disadvantages are communicated and I told him that using CDBS keeps him away from learning important facts about packaging. I also told him that he might think about not using CDBS. That there are sponsors who don't like to sponsor CDBS packages was just an additional hint, because there are quiet a lot people that don't like to sponsor CDBS packages and somewhere in the future he might search for a sponsor and you might not be around.
