I'm no DD and have not looked at your files at all, but just looking at the names immediately raises a question: why did you make vexim a native package? That seems like an oversight (or, to put it bluntly, a blunder), caused by the fact that you named the original tarball vexim-2.2.1.orig.tar.gz instead of vexim_2.2.1.orig.tar.gz.
