This sounds like a much more reasonable position than I had
previously credited you based on your earlier "sponsoring is a step
towards joining Debian" comment. I can accept that sponsoring, for
you, must be a step in your sponsoree's journey toward official DD
status. I suppose my point was that it does not have to be that way
for all sponsors and sponsorees, but I must admit you clearly
indicated it was merely your opinion.
