Any chance that this will be changed for lenny? If build-arch and build-indep are optional and there is no reliable way to find out whether these targets exist, what's the use? Not nice, but maybe worth the effort if build-indep takes much time. On the other side, policy says that build should depend on build-arch and build-indep (ok, just a "should" not a "must").
