It might be that something else than the manpage installation is causing
/usr/man to be added. Check the content list with dpkg --contents. If
it has some lines with /usr/man instead of /usr/share/man, try to find
out what's causing them.

You are right... The upstream Makefile has been modified and installs
man into /usr/man/man1. I will ask the official upstream maintener about
that, I don't think it's a good idea.
Fixed anyway.
A last question :
I made a diff on a directory. This directory contains a new file, so I
must use patch with -NP to get it. What's about dpatch ? It just applies
patch to the existing files but doesn't create the new one...
