I am searching for a sponsor(s) for 2 packages. One is pngquant, already on Debian archive. It was sponsored by Philipp Kern. He will be travelling and won't be possible to upload a new revision of pngquant. This new revision is fixing a lot of minor stuffs on the package. Another one is pngnq (ITP #334779). I have submitted it to sponsors.debian.net too. It's a new package and it isn't on Debian archive. Both packages are PNG optimizers, using different algorithms. They are lossy while optimizers like pngcrush are lossless (because they reduce the color number 256 colors or less). They are really good at reducing the size of the PNG (2 to 4 times the original size) while trying to maintain the new PNGs as similar as possible to the original pictures. They also are lintian and linda clean, and build perfectly on pbuilder.
