Actually, there are over 1500 of them. Some packages survive with the Essentials :) $ grep-dctrl -c -FDepends -e '^$' \ >/var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.jyu.fi_debian_dists_sid_main_binary-i386_Packages 1537 Many of them do declare a Recommends or a Suggests, though... $ grep-dctrl -c -FDepends -e '^$' -a -FRecommends -e '^$' \ > -a -FSuggests -e '^$' \ >/var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.jyu.fi_debian_dists_sid_main_binary-i386_Packages 705 ... but many don't. :) -- Antti-Juhani
