Hi all, I am seeking a sponsor for viewglob. The ITP is at http://bugs.debian.org/269445 and the home page is at http://viewglob.sourceforge.net/ . License is GPL plus a few BSD-licensed files.
Description follows: ---- Viewglob complements the Unix shell by presenting a graphical display showing the contents of directories referenced on the command line, including the current directory. The display also shows results of file globs and expansions as they are typed, with selected files and possible name completions highlighted. Viewglob currently only supports the Bourne-Again Shell (bash), although zsh support is planned for the future. It should work with any X-based terminal emulator (xterm, gnome-terminal, konsole, etc.). ---- The package is lintian- and linda-clean except for two false positives. There is a lintian error "shell-script-fails-syntax-check", which is due to the lintian check being made without bash's extglob option turned on; I have added a lintian override for this. The other false positive is a warning that x-terminal-emulator is in the menu file but not contained in the package. Debianized source code can be obtained here: deb-src http://borex.princeton.edu/~kmccarty/ unstable main (apt-get source viewglob) or downloaded directly from: http://borex.princeton.edu/~kmccarty/dists/sid/main/source/viewglob_0.8.4.orig.tar.gz http://borex.princeton.edu/~kmccarty/dists/sid/main/source/viewglob_0.8.4-1.diff.gz http://borex.princeton.edu/~kmccarty/dists/sid/main/source/viewglob_0.8.4-1.dsc regards, -- Kevin B.
