Well I've just checked it, and yep... seems that correct location is /usr/share/applnk/*, but I wonder if other (Gnome especially) desktops will search that path too.
The problem is that I even don't know exactly how these files are used.
I don't use KDE/Gnome, but I really want to provide those files if it
could help users somehow.
