IIRC, when I did my first gwget packages a couple months ago, there was someone who wanted to sponsor it in Debian. There was an issue with the current gwget (package name is gwget2 actually) maintainer, Luca De Vitis. So, I talked with him and he gave me permission to upload gwget packages with me as its maintainer. The problem is - I forgot who actually wanted to sponsor this package and I lost that email message.
