Hi everyone, I'm looking for a sponsor to upload the new libnet-ip-perl package which is available at http://www.mathgen.ch/debian/unstable
Here is an excerpt of the ITP I filled a few days ago (Bug#209349) : --- * Package name : libnet-ip-perl Version : 1.20 Upstream Author : Manuel Valente <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/M/MA/MANU/Net-IP-1.20.tar.gz * License : GPL or Artistic Description : Perl extension for manipulating IPv4/IPv6 addresses This package contains the Net::IP module, which provides functions to deal with IPv4/IPv6 addresses. The module can be used as a class, allowing the user to instantiate IP objects, which can be single IP addresses, prefixes, or ranges of addresses. There is also a procedural way of accessing most of the functions. Most subroutines can take either IPv4 or IPv6 addresses transparently. --- This is a very simple piece of software, and the package is lintian clean, so it shouldn't pose any problem. Upstream has been contacted and is happy about the package. My main motivation for packaging this module and wanting to add it to the Debian archive is that it is a dependency of the next version of the w3c-markup-validator package that I am also maintaining. Many thanks in advance to any volunteer ! Frédéric
