Hello,

I think this question has been asked before, but the archive search
didn't really reveal anything meaningful.

I intend to package KMencoder, which is a front-end to MEncoder for KDE.
MEncoder in turn is a part of MPlayer, which is not in Debian due to
licensing conflicts.

KMencoder depends on the MPlayer package (as otherwise MEncoder is not
installed), however, depending on a non-installable package doesn't seem
feasible.

How do I proceed here? Put MPlayer in the "suggests" line? Or create an
informational dialog that will show a warning about the dependency?

Till
