Well, they are totally normal in every respect. Only they already have all the information (i.e. a full uptodate debian/-dir) needed to build them without a Debian specific patch. It's generally considered a bad idea to make native packages of anything thats not particular to Debian. If you have to fix the Debian packaging, you'd have to release a new version of the whole package, not just a new Debian revision. HTH, Michael
