Hi, I am packaging a single binary package, vcdimager. The binary it contains is called vcdrip.
My question is, that for such simple packages, is it a good idea for the name of the binary to coincide with the name of the package ? Then, if a person installs a package, she knows what is the name of the binary too. Or is it better to stick with the conventions of the package. A good reason to do so would be to stay in sync with the upstream conventions, and also homogeneity with names on other distributions, which would presumably also follow the upstream conventions. viral -- "There is no dark side of the moon really.
