Hi! I have a very annoying problem in my package GQL (GQL.sourceforge.net for more info).
I have the source package producing various binary packages (mostly shared libraries); lets call them A and B. The problem is *building* binary package B (containing library libb) needs liba from package A to be *installed* due to a libtool limitation regarding dynamic libraries (to be specific: libtool can't link a uninstalled dynamic lib into another one.) How can I solve this (without doing another source-package split, which I already have done for, say, A and B, but now C is coming up with the same problem... ;-() Do I have some way to tell the build process: First make A, then install it, then B, then C, then install C, (which is needed by D), then make D, or something like that? I'm really, really glad about any help! Andy PS: The libtool manual promises this issue to be solved in the future, but when? -- Andreas Rottmann | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Pfeilgasse 4-6/725 | A-1080 Wien | Austria | Europe http://www.8ung.at/rotty | Key is there | gpg (GnuPG) 1.0.1 Fingerprint | 3E9A C485 49A4 1D17 2EA7 2BA7 22AE C9BF 8173 6279 [one of 78,35% Austrians who didnĀ“t vote for Haider!]
