I've recently opened my eyes to realize that Debian has several development machines on the internet.
Specifically, I would like to upload a Gtk-- package but, locally, I have had to rebuild the gtkmm packages in unstable in order to avoid upgrading my C++ compiler which would break a commercial package that I need for work. I don't think I should upload packages built against these custom gtkmm libraries. So, is it possible to logon to pandora and build these packages without having root access. Is that the purpose of the fakeroot package? Also, if I could build packages on kubrick and faure, then I could easily verify that my packages build and work properly on the alpha and sparc architectures. Thanks, Paul Serice
