I'm currently working on dpkgconfig which goes into a similar
direction as Joey Hess's work. Its the code for a proposal I made some
time ago to better configure a debian system. I also did work on xlife 
(which the author is willing to give up, since he doesn' t work on it)
and defrag (e2dump now works on my alpha most of the time, patches
comming up).
