Hi,

I'm looking for a sponsor for a tiny, trivial package:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/x-no-session-manager% dpkg -I x-no-session-manager_1_all.deb
 new debian package, version 2.0.
 size 2648 bytes: control archive= 1089 bytes.
     524 bytes, 13 lines control
    1118 bytes, 32 lines * postinst #!/bin/sh
    1002 bytes, 37 lines * prerm #!/bin/sh
 Package: x-no-session-manager
 Version: 1
 Section: x11
 Priority: optional
 Architecture: all
 Installed-Size: 60
Maintainer: Goswin von Brederlow <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Description: dummy session manager to restore default X behavior
When the Gnome or KDE session manager is installed Debian will
automatically use one of them through the alternatives system without
an option to keep the default behavior. This dummy session manager
restores the default behavior as if no session manager where
  available.

License is GPL.

As you can see the package is tiny. All it does is provide a dummy
alternative for x-session-manager that is _not_executable_ so the

/etc/X11/Xsession.d/50xfree86-common_determine-startup: if [ -x
/usr/bin/x-session-manager ]; then

will not detect a session-manager and start the default way. I expect
this to be a one time only upload since the package does all and only
what it is supposed to do.

MfG
        Goswin

PS: I talked to Branden Robinson about this a long time ago and he
wasn't intrested in providing this in Xfree86 directly.
