1. Did you have a look at that URL, it reports some errors, which
could be fixed.

2. Did you run lintian:

hille@rasppi3:~ $ lintian --tag-display-limit 0 -I --pedantic -E
forwords_1.0.2-1.dsc
P: forwords source: trailing-whitespace [debian/control:35]
P: forwords source: trailing-whitespace [debian/control:36]
X: forwords source: debian-watch-does-not-check-openpgp-signature [debian/watch]
X: forwords source: update-debian-copyright 2024 vs 2025 [debian/copyright:35]

3. Your control file reads:

Build-Depends:
 debhelper-compat (= 13),
 libgcc-14-dev (>= 14),
 libc6 (>= 2.40),
 make (>= 4.3),
 qmake6 (>= 6.7),
 qt6-base-dev (>= 6.7),
 qt6-webengine-dev (>= 6.7),
 libespeak-ng-dev (>= 1.52),

The BD on libgcc-14-dev, libc6 and make should be removed, they are
pulled in by debhelper-compat (AFAICT). IIRC on some arches libc6
even does not exist, so you limit the arches unnecessarely.

4. What is the difference between forwords.1 & forwords.1.gz

5. d/copyright: if all files in the root dir are copyrighted by you,
you may simply write "*"

Just my 0,02€.
