I was able to cross compile them with aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc etc. on amd64. Next I will try to cross-build the whole package with sbuild (thanks for the links, Lourisvaldo).

The main reason for marking the package as UNRELEASED is the unclear license of the included "Magic Sound Font v2.0"; see the discussion in #819332. I have tried to contact the author by mail, but have not yet received a reply. I will try again, but if it is not possible to resolve this issue, we could omit the file. Tuxguitar also works with other soundbanks already included in Debian.
