As wrote on https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1011570: I prepared this small QA upload with security fixes and few other small things, I don't have a big time so I would prefer another maintainer to adopt it, in the meantime if no one comes forward if I'll have enough time in the next weekends I'll do a bigger one with packaging improvements and with the new upstream version. The actual git in salsa (https://salsa.debian.org/debian/libcaca) is only an auto import not full, one small additional commit and without pristine-tar, I redid full import using pristine-tar: https://salsa.debian.org/fantu/libcaca I think is good replace it with the new one for a "better" starting repository.
