Hello, I'm looking for someone to sponsor to help me get MPD into debian.
MPD (Music Player Daemon: http://www.musicpd.org ) is a daemon for remotely controlling music playback. It can either be used in conjunction with a Hi-Fi stereo, or be used as a desktop app. There are a variety of clients available (php web interface, 2 gtk clients, command line client, and Window Maker Dock App) and several clients currently in development (Mac OS X, Qt, and several others). We are working on a set of rapid client development tools (currently available: C lib, python module, and php class). I currently have deb packages for mpd (the daemon itself) and mpc (command line client). Any assistance with makeing deb packages or getting MPD (and other packages) into official debian distrobution, would be greatly appreciated (and would owe them much gratitude, .i.e. beer). Also, i would like to become the debian maintainer of these packages if they make it into the official debian distribuiton, if possible.
