I'd be grateful if someone will take on maintainership of Debian package for checkpassword-pam. I did the debian packaging stuff, and I hope it works ok (lint-checked, test-installed, etc.), so there should be a little work for you to do. For now I do not intend to become DD, so maybe that's not a request for sponsorship, but something closer to request for packaging. I do not know all those intricacies, sorry. :) So, I've just released checkpassword-pam 0.98 and it seems to be rather stable. This package is of interest mostly to users running qmail, however there are some other packages interoperating with it. Feel free to contact me if you need any advice.
