Fixed. I did it by: 1. Discovering dch --news 2. Removing my additions 3. Dch --news 4. Oops, it picks UNRELEASED 5. Change changelog entry to UNRELEASED 6. Paste my additions back into NEWS 7. Dch -r --news 8. git commit 9. Build. And then, for some reason, it worked... I fail to understand why, and it seems like voodoo hand waving. The only thing I can think of is that there is a hidden rule that the date stamps on changelog and NEWS cannot be the same, and that NEWS must be older than changelog. Additionally, I wonder if there is an invisible mtime to claimed datestamp comparison. Whatever the case, it looks like I'll be using dch --news in the future. :-) Cheers, Nicholas
