It seems that I have been well inspired, because buildds caught
a number of build failures on other architectures than amd64 or
arm64[1] (nothing too complex thankfully, just a new symbol that
appears when certain vector extensions are available), and the
experimental pseudo-excuses raised a couple of issues[2].  I'll
open some bugs if that turns out necessary.
