This would mean to drop the packages libvtkgdcm-cil and libvtkgdcm-java. I'm perfectly fine with this and I just pushed a change in d/control where I replaced s/vtk7/vtk9/ globally. The build[1] is currently failing at a probably simple Java issue: /usr/lib/jvm/default-java/include/jni.h:45:10: fatal error: jni_md.h: No such file or directory 45 | #include "jni_md.h" | ^~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. I have no idea whether we might keep on supporting the Java bindings if this can be solved. But I'm pretty sure we should act on droping what needs to be droped in a timely manner to make sure gdcm will remain in testing. Any help is welcome.See my original work at: https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/gdcm/-/commits/debian/experimental/Ups, sorry for missing this. I've merged your changes into master but the said problem remains[1]. Kind regards Andreas. [1] https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/gdcm/-/jobs/3427720
This is really just a missing include dir, as the problematic header is in /usr/lib/jvm/default-java/include/linux/ . I will be having a look shortly, we should be able to handle this and keep the Java packages if this is the only Java-related issue.
