FTR, the OpenJDK maintainer maintains the package in a way that allows us to backport the latest upstream version to squeeze. And that's what we're doing, cf packages/openjdk.txt in the security tracker SVN repository. So I usually don't send such emails for openjdk. Maybe we should add a note in the wiki that says to check in packages/*.txt if there are special instructions for a given package ?
