Crashes, possibly graphics driver lelated (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU)

Hi,

Debian live 2.7 crashes on my new laptop when manipulating windows. The 
system:
Acer Swift SFX16-61G
AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
The crashes occur when:
Resize GPARTED window
Starting Chrome when the window appears

The system freezes, the screen is dimmed. It goes black, a second or so 
later the dimmed screen reappears. That is repeated some times after 
which the system reboots.
