That is a known bug: https://bugs.debian.org/1069498#32, I collect a list of known issues with live images near their tests:
https://openqa.debian.net/group_overview/14 I was hoping that that bug would have been resolved by now.Alternatively, curl can be added to `live-task-recommended`, which is under control of the live team.
