Hello,

It seems that the menu option “Check the integrity of installation media” of
live-installer from Debian Live image always returns “No valid installation
media” because it does not really check the integrity of the live image (but it
checks the integrity of the image of Debian installer that has some more
control files).

I suppose that the cdrom-checker package [0] is involved here, but it seems not
to take in account the live image (but only the Debian installer image).

A previous bug report was opened and then it was close as fixed, but it was for
Debian Wheezy [1]

The live-installer package [2] has no bug reports opened about this issue.

Before opening a new bug report about it, I would like to know if this is an
intended behavior of the live-installer (or it is not) and therefore if it can
be useful to fix it.

Thanks
